Dear Curtis,
to understand basic things under teleportation process it's useful to begin with learning seeing with your eyes covered.
Instructor radiates correct brain waves and you learn to tune into them - and you begin seeing characters on paper.
Same method is used by Nikolay Denisov to teach teleportation coins.
